Chapter 9 Blog 1

For chapter I chose the concept experimenting because to me this is something that I feel everyone goes through before they find their significant other. In the book, experimenting is looked up as getting to know each other. It's the stage where people are getting to know each other starting with little things that aren't so serious about one another. It's asking questions about what your middle name is?, what your major is?, do you have any siblings?, etc...I like this stage because it's where two people are getting to know each other to see if there's a future for the both of them. It's finding someone suitable for yourself. It's where one can see what's out there. It could help determine a person who is dating, know what he or she wants in a man or woman. It's experimenting with what's out there and what intrigues you about the other person. That's what's great about this concept.

I also chose the concept of experimenting for my post this week. I agree that everyone goes through experimenting before they find their other half. I like this stage as well because you can see what things you have in common with another person or see what new things you can learn from the person you meet. Sometimes opposites do attract, so you do not necessarily have to have everything in common with them Overall, the exchange of conversation in experimenting is the best part and hopefully something good will come out from it.

I've been single all my life, and I don't have any complaints about it. I haven't quite "dated" (nothing was ever 'official') but I surely had the chance to get to know a few a guys in my past. With ever new guy I met, it was like my bar was being set higher. I don't hold very high standards or anything, it's just that I get to know what kind of guy I want and I stick to it. Yeah, it sounds like you can be asking for a lot, but at the same time you have to really do it humbly. I believe everyone deserves thee best, their perfect match; and luckily, I've grown patient enough to wait out. I always believed that (to me) frieds first was important. In time, you really get to know that person and possibly it will evolve to something more. I'd rather have that than a fairytale-type of love story.
